Question:  If the dog has tasted blood and the purpose was playing with another animal and then "accidently" killing it, can this dog be re-trained and trusted once again?

Over the years and with the help of research into canine behavior, we've been able to learn a lot about dogs and their behavior. But we cannot enter their minds; therefore we cannot understand purpose -- the dog's intent. We may only make som educated guesses.

Inter-dog aggression at home

One of the things I find very difficult to do is to recommend what I think will work best in a situation when I fear that the owners will reject the idea as inconvenient. Nonetheless, I'll give it the old college try.

I'd like you to consider a change in how you view your yard. I've seen remarkable results when pet owners decide to take back possession of their yard. Turn it into an outside room of the house. Make the yard a people place, not a dog place exclusively.

Owners often report Interdog aggression in a multidog household. Sometimes the aggression is very serious. A pet owner reported that her 2 y o f Labrador Retriever reacting aggressively toward her two older male dogs, one age 6, one age 9.  From my experience as a foster care provider, here are suggestions I found effective for introducing a new dog to the household.
